Navigator helps the Tax Professional by providing options for your customers for their refund proceeds. By enabling the customer to pay for their tax preparation and related fees out of their refund, we can have those fees deposited directly to your bank accounts.
A Refund Transfer (RT) is a financial product made available to taxpayers at the completion of services. The Refund Transfer is for taxpayers who file electronically but do not have the out of pocket funds to pay for their tax preparation and e-filing fees. Once the IRS or state taxing authority deposits the taxpayer’s refund proceeds into a designated account set up through Navigator’s authorized bank partner, the taxpayer will receive their funds by bank check or direct deposit.
*Refund Transfer (RT) is a financial product provided by First Century Bank, N.A. Member FDIC and processed through Navigator Financial Products, LLC of Iselin, NJ. Bank and other fees apply and will be deducted from your refund upon completion of services. A Refund Transfer is not a loan, and will not alter the time it takes to receive a refund by e-file. According to the IRS, most refunds are disbursed in less than 21 days. Tax refund and IRS e-file are required in order to receive an RT. Ask your tax professional for terms and cost and other IRS e-filing options.
This product offers the same convenience and benefits as a Federal RT with a state refund.
With our new Fee Collect program, your customers can use their refunds to pay your fees without incurring additional costs. It’s simple! By signing up for the Fee Collect Program, Navigator will automatically deduct tax preparation fees from the customer refund proceeds for you. Navigator will charge a nominal fee for each deposit to you to perform this service and then deduct it from your fees.
The Customer can apply for a Refund Advance Loan for up to $2500. This program is available in all 50 states and the Refund Advance is provided by First Century Bank, N.A., member FDIC, an unaffiliated third-party lender. When a taxpayer applies for the RA, the decisioning process does not begin until the IRS acknowledges receipt of the tax return. If the taxpayer is approved for the RA, Navigator deducts the RA amount from the total amount of the refund and disburses the remainder per the taxpayers’ disbursement options of either check or direct deposit.
There is no cost to the taxpayer and NO fees can be charged to the customer for the Refund Advance. There is a marketing fee charged to the ERO for the Refund Advance products.
Not all taxpayers will qualify for this loan or may not qualify for the maximum amount. If a taxpayer is declined, a Notice of Adverse Action will be sent via mail to explain the denial.
The TPA can help you with cash flow needs especially while the IRS is delaying refunds due to the PATH act.
A Portion of your tax preparation fees are acquired as receivables (future fees) by our third party vendor – CFG Merchant Solutions* - then are repaid by you after February 16 through the normal IRS funding activity.
Navigator administers the program through enrollment in your e-Account as follows:

Provide the safety and convenience of printing checks directly from your office and have the taxpayer come back in to pick it up.
Customers can cash their refund bank checks at their local banks or use the convenience of Walmart to cash their checks for a nominal fee.
Customers with an existing bank account can have their refund proceeds deposited directly into their bank account. Delivered through Navigator Financial via the Refund Transfer application, the taxpayer’s routing and bank account numbers are captured for a safe and secure transfer into their checking or savings account. ***

For fast and easy verification by financial institutions and check cashing services, both the IVR phone number and a website address is printed on the face of all of our checks.
