The Refund Advance (RA) is a no recourse loan secured by a taxpayer’s tax refund to eligible applicants. If approved, a Finance Charge will apply. Advance money is typically available within 24 hours of IRS acceptance of the tax refund. The range of advance loans are from $500 to $6,000. There will be no collections activity on unfunded taxpayers.
Upon receipt of a Federal or State tax refund, the RA is repaid by deducting the loan amount and Finance Charge from the refund. After repayment, the remaining amount of the refund is disbursed to the taxpayer by the same disbursement option chosen for the RA proceeds.
NEW this year – another benefit for you and your customer is that the customer can CHOOSE the loan advance they want to apply for based on their net refund amount, thereby giving them a choice, and enabling the customer and YOU, the ERO, to pay less in fees. See table below:
A Refund Transfer (RT) is a financial product made available to taxpayers at the completion of services. The Refund Transfer is for taxpayers who file electronically but do not have the out of pocket funds to pay for their tax preparation and e-filing fees. Once the IRS or state taxing authority deposits the taxpayer's refund proceeds into a designated account set up through Navigator’s authorized bank partner, the taxpayer will receive their funds by bank check or direct deposit.
ACH stands for "Automated Clearing House." This system is used by banks and governmental agencies to transmit money via direct deposits and debits. It may take up to 3* business days to complete the process from one bank to another.*Holidays and weekends can extend the period.
If the taxpayer is interested in this option, Navigator will process the state refund in the same manner that the federal refund was processed.

It could take up to 24 hours for Navigator to receive customer records from your transmitter. If your customer's record is not in the Navigator database, it has not yet been received from the transmitting source (this process could take up to 24 hours). We only receive records Accepted by the IRS and/or state agencies; we suggest that you verify if the return has been rejected by the IRS and/or state agencies. You should also contact your software provider and inquire if there were any errors during the transmission process which you were not aware of.

RTN stands for Routing Transit Number. An RTN is a unique 9-digit number assigned to each Financial Institution as a member of the Federal Reserve Bank's ACH system. If a customer chooses the direct deposit disbursement method, they will need to provide the RTN along with the DAN to their tax preparer, in order to direct funding to their bank account.
DAN stands for the Depositor Account Number, also known as the checking or savings account number. If a customer chooses the direct deposit disbursement method, they will need to provide the DAN along with the RTN to their tax preparer in order to direct funding to their bank account.
